Gold Country members are all the first place quartet medalists who reside within the old Region 24 boundaries. These championship singers have earned the admiration of audiences and the respect of the Sweet Adelines membership by competing and winning with a quartet at the regional level, at least once.
Many have had repeated successes.

They have all had the opportunity to compete and appear on the International stage at a variety of locations
around the country - a once in a lifetime experience!

HENRIETTA LINDSAY
joined Sweet Adelines in 1967, as a member of Columbia River Chorus. She was very active in many quartets over the years, until her death in early 1992. It was Henri's fervent wish that the region could present a workshop specifically geared to increasing the interest and level of musical knowledge for quartets. So when she passed away, a portion of the trust fund that was generated from those whjo knew and loved her, was used to initiate the first Henrietta Lindsday Quartet Workshop in Region 24.

Henri was a little woman (her last quartet was called "Short-n-Sassy") with a huge heart and a big, raucaus laugh that was very contagious! She was so thrilled when her quartet, Columbia Connection won the Regional Championship in 1983 (the second year of Region 24's existence).

It is important that we remember our history - and Henrietta was a memorable part of our region's story.
